Please note that stainless steel models may not be suitable for coastal areas or areas with high levels of pollution. To avoid tarnishing, we would suggest occasionally cleaning your stainless steel postbox with a soft cloth and a cleaning agent such as WD40.
If standard steel fittings and screws are used with a stainless steel postbox, some rusting/tarnishing may occur if the two metals are in direct or close contact and moisture is present. You may be able to prevent this by applying some grease to the screws and fittings.
